1483: Babur – the person who founded the Mughal Dynasty in India – was born on this day in Andijan Fergana Valley, which is currently located in present-day Uzbekistan.
1537: Qutb-ud-Din Bahadur Shah – Sultan of Muzaffarid Dynasty that reigned over Gujarat Sultanate – died by drowning while trying to escape from the Portuguese who tried to treacherously capture him and detain him in Diu.
1556: Coronation of Akbar took place. He was the son of Humayun and the grandson of Babur.
1628: Coronation of Shah Jahan took place. He was the son of Akbar and grandson of Humayun and great grandson of Babur.
1658: In the Battle of Bahadurpur, the son of Shah Jahan – Shah Shuja was defeated by Sulayman Shikoh – son of Dara Shikoh (son of Shah Jahan). It was an internal family conflict for the throne of Delhi after Shah Jahan fell ill.
