1. The name Aerosteon is actually a Greek name which is pronounced as AIR-oh-STEE-on. This Greek word means Air Bone.

2. This dinosaur lived during the Late Cretaceous period some 83 million years ago in South American woodlands.

3. The Aerosteon was a large carnivore and its diet included only meat.

4. One of the most interesting Aerosteon facts is that the dinosaur had air sacs in its bones. These air sacs were pretty large in size. This is the reason why it has been so named.
